What is Psorasis?

Psoriasis is a chronic, recurring skin condition with no known cure. It produces red, scaly skin plaques that can cause discomfort, disfigurement and embarrassment. Social withdrawal and even depression are not uncommon among psoriasis sufferers. The second most common skin disorder in the United States, psoriasis affects an estimated 7 million Americans. An estimated 150,000 to 260,000 new cases are diagnosed each year.

The XTRAC excimer laser treatment system from PhotoMedex is the first FDA market approved laser treatment for psoriasis. Light years ahead of other treatment methods, XTRAC is designed to provide effective relief from unsightly and sometimes painful psoriatic skin lesions.
